"Health Care & Union: Where Hope Flourished."

Our book tells the story of the birth and persistence of a young union and the women who assumed leadership within that union. Although the events occurred in the late 1970's and early 1980's, the story is timely. It is a rare day when the newspapers do not carry stories about problems both patients and health care staff face within our market driven health care system.

"Health Care & Union" provides valuable insights into the damage that was done when America moved from aiming for universal coverage to pandering to corporate interests.
